GERMAIN LARIVIÈRE: NEW $40-MILLION DISTRIBUTION CENTRE IN LONGUEUIL BUILT BY MONTONI
Capacity increased by half to support the Québec company’s expansion goals
LONGUEUIL, September 30, 2021 – MONTONI and Germain Larivière are proud to launch construction of a brand-new complex valued at over $40 million in Longueuil. The 260,000-sq.-ft. building, jointly owned by the two partners and built by Montoni Group, will house Germain Larivière’s new distribution centre. This space represents an increase in the Québec retailer’s capacity of nearly half to support the company’s expansion goals. The distribution centre will include 27,500 sq. ft. of office space. The building, located on Marie-Victorin Boulevard, is scheduled to be completed in the spring of 2022.
“This partnership model allows Germain Larivière to own its building. It is always rewarding to support our clients in their growth and participate in a new milestone in their history. Our land in Longueuil, next to Lumenpulse’s head office, provides an excellent showcase for the companies that set up there. It was an ideal location for our partner.”
– Dario Montoni, President of Montoni Group
“We want to thank Germain Larivière for choosing to establish its new distribution centre in Longueuil as part of this partnership with Montoni Group. This project adds to the economic vitality that our city is experiencing, particularly in this sector, in the city centre and in the airport zone, and is perfectly aligned with the development vision that we have advanced in recent years.”
– Sylvie Parent, Mayor of Longueuil
“We are delighted to partner with Montoni Group to build our new distribution centre and support our growth. With this investment and by continuing to focus on Québec products, we are continuing to create jobs here.”
– Jean Larivière, President of Germain Larivière
