• Prepare, revise, and negotiate various legal documents (French and English) as part of company financing (construction and long-term financing)
• Revise, write, and negotiate commercial contracts (buying and selling of land, leases, partnership agreements, construction contracts)
• Write letters, transcribe dictation, revise and correct texts and layouts, rigorously manage deadlines, manage daily schedule and email, track and organize files (open files, paper and electronic filing), follow up with clients, and any other related tasks
• Provide your legal opinion on situations involving tenants and offer legal advice to various internal departments
• Ensure tracking of open files that are currently in progress
• Write and prepare financing documents in collaboration with the Head of Finance, as well as settlements, share certificates, notices, waivers, etc., and any other corporate document required for the execution of various mandates
• Coordinate the different stages relating to a file (due date, post-closing, reminders, etc.)
• Distribute information needed to ensure the proper functioning of the company
• Advise and steer the different sectors of the company regarding legislation and legal issues
• Undertake research required to satisfy due diligence
• Execute various mandates of a legal nature
• Handle any other tasks required for this position



• Degree in law
• Member of the Bar of Quebec
• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in real estate law with experience in the area of security and acquisition/sale of real estate
• Bilingualism (French/English)
• Basic financial knowledge is an asset
• Superior communication and negotiation abilities
• Good understanding of computers
• Good ability to lead several projects simultaneously



• Has a proven aptitude for working effectively both independently and within a team
• Demonstrates good judgment and integrity
• Has good analytical and deductive sense
• Has demonstrated willingness to share their knowledge
• Knows how to manage priorities and demonstrates flexibility when faced with changes in priorities
